Pricing, bills and refunds
Verify prepaid contracts, measured cost and payment fulfillment separately.
The current text contract uses TEXT_OUTPUT multiplied by measured TOKEN quantity; documentation does not silently replace it with new input/output/cache charging. Unit rate, peak multiplier/sample time and prepaid budget freeze before execution. Account amounts retain six decimals with HALF_UP rounding. Missing price is not free; free pricing requires a versioned reason.
Customer charges cannot exceed the original prepaid budget. The platform covers non-agreed excess while retaining quantity, full contractual cost and platform-covered cost. Recover trusted final measurement before applying the frozen missing-usage policy; never invent zero quantity or resample peak pricing at report time.
Select a local-time period; requests use UTC [startTime, endTime). Settlement, current holds, pending reconciliation, refunds/reversals and platform-covered adjustments are separate. Pending may overlap holds, so do not add all five fields. Platform-covered cost does not change customer balance. Usage shows durable events; bills show funds awaiting final events. CSV includes the whole filter, up to 100000 rows, not a recent-500-row sample.
Orders freeze base/bonus Credits, cash price, package version and refund policy. A payment return is not fulfillment. Query the original paid-pending order instead of buying again. Open Credits, member entitlements and enterprise seats fulfill under separate contracts and cannot transfer pools.
Initial full refunds require proof that the complete order is unused with no uncertain late charges or in-flight work; bonus Credits withdraw together. Sufficient overall balance is not proof. Uncertain historical/multi-source funds need manual reconciliation. Keep funds frozen and query when the channel is processing/unknown. Finalize only after both cash refund and Credit withdrawal are confirmed.
